FAQ.

  • What are the risks, how do we deal with them?

Hey there! Ihor from ARKCryo. Today we're going to talk about risks during transportation and how we avoid it. Each shipment requires a maximum of preparations before a courier goes on the road to avoid any issues and make sure of a smooth delivery. Therefore, we strictly comply with IATA regulations and ISO 21973:2020 on general requirements for transportation of cells for therapeutic use. All of our containers and data loggers are regularly validated for proper operation. Our couriers undergo a special training and pass knowledge tests. Today we know many of them have been reliable for more than 7 years. Also, we are in constant contact with commercial alliance, airport securities department's, and customer service. • Insurance Policy
Hey there! Ihor from ARKCryo. Today we are going to speak about insurance policy. We are proud to hold our delivery success rate at 100% for about 9 years now. Although, patients are free to ask for shipping insurance, from our patent third-party vendors. Our patients could get insurance for about up to $50,000 and get reimbursed for any unpredictable occurrences that may happen in transit and that are out of the courier's control, like natural calamities or violent attacks. In case of successful claim the amount of returned costs depend on the declared value of goods. Want to know more? Feel free to ask! We're healed to help.
  • How Much MATERIAL can be transferred in one transportation?

Hi everyone! My name is Peter and I am an Executive Director of ARKCryo shipping company.

In this video i'm going to answer on a few common questions that people usually ask regarding the transportation of biological material. And one of those questions is “How much material can be transported in one shipment and how does it affect the price?” So the answer is very simple: they can be transported as much as needed. However, the price for such transportation is directly influenced by the container type and its capacity. And if we are talking about the container type and its capacity there are two most used types of the containers: “a small one”. We mean a container with 1,5 liters capacity and in this tank can be placed at 3 cryo canes 15 cm in length. And depending on their carrier type there can be attached free wires or one plastic goblet with 7 straws. The second type is “a big one”. We mean a container with 3,5 liters capacity and in this tank can be placed at 13 cryo canes 30 centimeters in length. And depending on the type of the carrier there can be attached 5 vials or 2 plastic goblets with 7 straws. So as long as the total number of vials or straws feeds to any of those tanks you probably will be offered some fixed standard price for the transportation. Increasing the amount of the carriers means just a combination of a few tanks. In that case the total price will depend on how many tanks are needed for such transportation.

  • What documents are needed for transportation?

Hello everyone! My name is Peter and I am an Executive Director of ARKCryo shipping company.

In this video i'm going to answer all the common question that people usually ask about the transportation of biological material. This question is “What documents are needed for transportation?” It is different for different countries and the list of paperwork depends also on local export and import regulation of the country. However, we made a list of paperwork which fits most cases. So what does this list include? The first one: this is an agreement between the shipping company and the patient. The agreement usually describes all responsibility of the company and all terms and conditions. The second document is a form. We call that Transfer act. This form has to include all information about the samples: how many samples are going to be transferred, how it is marked and who is the patient. It is also very important to have blood results at the list of your paperwork in order to confirm that samples are not infected. However in case the samples are infected there is not a problem for shipping them to another country. It means that the shipping company just needs to use different types of the tank for transportation. It is also very important to have an official letter of acceptance from the receiving institution. All other paperwork can be included on the list on demand and we always recommend to check the whole list of paperwork with the shipping company before you will start all arrangements.

  • What Materials can be TRANSPORTED?

Hi, everyone! My name is Peter and I am an Executive Director of ARKCryo shipping company.

In this video I'm going to answer the question “What kind of materials can be transported?” Nowadays there are a wide range of biological materials that can be transported. Many shipping companies successfully transport blood samples, steam samples, some samples of biopsies and many other human tissues and cells. As well as some samples of animal and plant origin. Excluding those which are forbidden by the local legislation of the country as such which post a threat to the national ecosystem. Any other just require an attentive process of preparation all required paperwork and matching all necessary permissions.
